About Me
Hi, I’m Julian — a composer, producer and musician based in Germany, specializing in hybrid and adaptive scoring for interactive media, particularly video games.
I love the connection between music, narrative and mechanics in video games and thrive on creating musical systems that evolve with the player and shape the emotional identity of a world. Whether intimate and atmospheric or large-scale and cinematic, my goal is always to create music that feels deeply connected to the experience itself.
At the Robert Schumann Conservatory and the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf, I studied audio and video engineering in the cooperative degree program, focusing on composition for games, film and other media alongside orchestration, music theory, music production and technical workflows and -theory.
Alongside my own work, I regularly collaborate with Oscar-award-winning composer Volker Bertelmann, contributing to productions at different stages of the film scoring process and performing live instrumental recordings for international projects. Also check my IMDb profile to learn more:
Performing Live
Beyond the studio, I perform live as a member of the band Molass and as a contracted musician for larger productions, including the German true crime podcast “Mord auf Ex” and various popular music projects. Performing live continues to shape the energy and emotional immediacy of my work as a composer.
I enjoy working in collaborative environments of all sizes — from small indie teams where I take care of the entire music/audio direction, to larger productions involving fellow composers, orchestrators, music editors or -designers and recording musicians. For me, composing is always about communication: understanding a project’s emotional core and translating it into sound.
